Evaluated by a panel of distinguished, industry-leading experts a SBID Award is considered one of the most coveted accolades for design excellence.

In the final stage of judging, the public are invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs.

Yorkshire Life magazine has featured the railway keepers cottage at Helmsley project in their August 2025 issue. The feature outlines background of the project and details my interior design approach.

Winning this award is especially meaningful because it celebrates both interior design and heritage. It’s a lovely reminder that creating something beautiful doesn’t mean starting from scratch, sometimes it’s about seeing the potential in what’s already there and working with restraint, imagination, and sensitivity.

We explored what it means to ‘write the story of your home’, to think about how each room reflects who you are and how you live and how to communicate that story through the subtle, often unspoken and sometimes even unseen language of interiors.

The goal, to enhance and retain the cottages history as a unique building and ensure that, for its next chapter, it would be a comfortable and appealing base for guests to enjoy the surrounding picture-perfect English countryside.
